What information do we collect?

• Your email address, when you subscribe to our newsletter via ConvertKit.
• Anonymous website usage data through Umami, a cookieless analytics service provided by Umami Software, Inc. Umami sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses and collects no information that identifies you. We see only aggregate figures: the pages viewed, the site you came from, browser, operating system, device type and country. This helps us understand how our site is used and improve your experience. What we do not collect or store:

• We do not permanently store your full IP address.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information. The only third parties that handle it are the providers named above, who process it on our behalf and for no other purpose.

Country and broker routing

So that we show you the broker who may actually serve you, some pages read your IP address and derive only your country from it. The address is not stored, not logged and not passed on: it is read, turned into a two-letter country code and discarded immediately. The lookup runs locally on our server against the IP to Country Lite database by DB-IP (CC BY 4.0); no third party is queried. The basis is our legitimate interest in not sending a signup to a broker who is not permitted to act in that country.
