TradingCode Trade Manager / Terms of Use
TradingCode Trade Manager: Terms of Use
Effective date: 20 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1 TradingCode Trade Manager (the "Trade Manager") is provided by Black Ship Media LLC, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, email: support@tradingcode.org ("we", "us").
1.2 These terms set out how you may use the Trade Manager (your software licence).
1.3 If you buy the Trade Manager through Digistore24, your contract for the purchase and all related services (delivery, updates, support) is only with the Digistore24 company named at checkout. We provide these services as Digistore24's supplier. Between you and us, only the licence in section 6 applies. Your legal rights against Digistore24 are not affected.
1.4 If you receive the Trade Manager as a member of the Tradingcode signal service, section 1.3 applies in the same way if you booked the membership through Digistore24. Otherwise we provide the Trade Manager to you for use without a separate price, and these terms apply.
2. What the Trade Manager does
2.1 The Trade Manager is an add-on (Expert Advisor) for MetaTrader 5. It helps you prepare orders, send them to your broker and manage open positions.
2.2 Its features include:
- calculating the position size from the risk you choose and your stop loss, using your broker's data,
- sending market, stop and limit orders with stop loss and take profit after you confirm the order,
- partial closes at up to three targets, moving the stop to entry and, if you choose, trailing the stop by fixed rules,
- reading a Tradingcode signal code that fills in the fields of an order,
- if you switch it on, taking over positions you open yourself in MetaTrader or the MetaTrader app.
2.3 The Trade Manager never opens a new position by itself. It only sends a new order after you have confirmed it. A pasted signal code only fills in the fields. Management features you have switched on (for example partial closes or stop to entry) then run automatically.
2.4 Partial closes, stop to entry and stop trailing only work while MetaTrader 5 with the Trade Manager is running and connected to your broker. Stop loss, the last take profit and pending orders sit with your broker and stay in place when your computer is off.
2.5 Once a day the Trade Manager checks with tradingcode.org whether your licence is valid and whether a new version is available. Only the licence key and version number are sent. Our privacy policy has the details.
2.6 The user guide and documents included in the download describe how it works in detail. These descriptions and the information on our websites explain the features; they are not a guarantee of any particular feature or result.
2.7 Position sizes are calculated from the contract data your broker sends to MetaTrader 5 (for example contract size, tick value, minimum and step volume). If that data is wrong or incomplete, the result can be wrong too. Check the position size shown before every confirmation.
3. No investment advice
3.1 The Trade Manager is a technical tool for carrying out your own trading decisions. It does not assess your financial situation, objectives or experience and does not recommend any particular trade.
3.2 We do not promise any profit or result.
4. Trading risks that do not depend on the Trade Manager
4.1 Trading CFDs and other leveraged products carries a high risk. You can lose money rapidly.
4.2 The loss at the stop shown on the panel is a calculation. Price gaps, slippage, spreads, commissions and your broker's execution can make the actual loss larger. A stop loss is not always filled at its exact price.
4.3 The Trade Manager relies on MetaTrader 5, your broker and its price and contract data, your computer and your internet connection. These are outside our control.
5. What we ask of you
5.1 Only use the Trade Manager on a live account after you have tested it on a demo account with your broker and your instruments. Do this again after changing broker or instrument and after every update.
5.2 Before confirming an order, check the values shown: instrument, direction, position size, entry, stop loss, targets and the estimated loss at the stop. Do not confirm an order whose values look wrong or unusual.
5.3 After every fill, check in the MetaTrader "Trade" tab that the position size and stop loss are correct.
5.4 If you notice an error, stop using the Trade Manager on live accounts, protect any open positions yourself and report it to support@tradingcode.org with the version, instrument, time and a screenshot or the MetaTrader journal.
5.5 Keep MetaTrader 5 with the Trade Manager running and connected while you want to use the management features, and install updates we provide promptly.
5.6 This does not take away your legal rights. Whether anything you did contributed to a loss will be decided under the law.
6. Your licence
6.1 We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Trade Manager for your own trading accounts. You may not share, resell or publish it. This does not restrict anything the law allows you to do.
6.3 The software and all documents remain our intellectual property.
7. Updates and support
7.1 For two years from first delivery, new versions and support by email at support@tradingcode.org are available. If you bought through Digistore24, we provide them as supplier under your contract with Digistore24 (section 1.3). Support covers installation, set-up and use, not trading decisions or managing open positions.
7.2 We will also provide any updates the law requires to keep the software in line with these terms.
8. Your legal rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in these terms affects these rights. If you bought through Digistore24, you can enforce them against your seller. Losses caused only by market movements are not a fault in the software. Citizens Advice (www.citizensadvice.org.uk) can tell you more about your rights.
9. Our responsibility for loss or damage
9.1 If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen or if both of us knew it might happen when you accepted these terms.
9.2 We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights described in section 8.
9.3 If defective digital content we supplied damages a device or other digital content belonging to you, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation, unless the damage was caused by you not following our instructions or not installing an update we offered free of charge.
9.4 We are not responsible for losses that are not caused by a fault in the Trade Manager or by us breaking these terms, for example losses from market movements, price gaps and slippage, from your broker executing, rejecting or delaying an order, from outages of MetaTrader 5, your broker, your computer or your internet connection, from your own inputs and decisions, from incorrect contract data supplied by your broker, or from using an outdated version after an update was made available to you.
9.5 If you use the Trade Manager for business purposes (for example through a company), we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity, except where this would be unlawful.
10. Which laws apply and where you can bring claims
10.1 If you are a consumer, these terms are governed by the law of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and you can bring legal proceedings in the courts there.
10.2 If you use the Trade Manager for business purposes, these terms are governed by the law of the State of Wyoming, United States, and the courts of Sheridan County, Wyoming, have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Other important terms
11.1 If a court decides that part of these terms is unlawful, the rest will continue to apply.
11.2 You can view, save and print these terms at any time at tradingcode.org/en/trade-manager/terms/.
